Skull-1 Deck (FINISHED)

This is the finished artwork. The shield I've drawn before didn't going well when i trace it using Adobe Illustrator, so i changed the shield with Vector packs from GoMedia. A little change. I change the font "WP" also. Please check that out.

Skull-1 Deck

This is the concept for skateboard deck design. Someone from WP skateboard ask me to do a little of art on his deck. The concept is a demon skull stabbed by a sword. I use paper, pencil, and drawing pen to draw, scan it, and then trace it with adobe Illustrator. The finished Artwork can be seen at portfolio page or the skateboard page.

Spot Color Separation using Adobe Photoshop

Somebody from Bluefame forum ask me to write tutorial about spot color separation. Actually, spot color separation works can't work perfectly on Photoshop... but we'll give it a try using channel.

These are the things you'll need:
-->Large, clear image without gradient, separation, and other effects

1.

Choose an image, use Magic Wand tool, uncheck the Contiguous and set tolerance to 20.

2.
Right Click on it and select Select Inverse

3.
Go to Channels window, and choose Save Selection as Channel.

4.
The selection will change into a channel in B/W color. Do this to the other colors.

5.
Each colors in their own channel, now it's time to split the channel, so the channel will change into an indvidual image. Click on the arrow at the corner of Channels window, and choose Split Channels.

6.
Discard the Red, Green, Blue channel, we'd never need those channel anymore. Now its time to change the resolution... choose Image> Image Size set the resolution to 300 and image size.
The images are ready to print on a transparency.

PS: If you do those step above you will have a smooth edge, if you use the color picker or color range you'll have jagged edge. So.... which one's better???

Simulated Process Color Separation using Adobe Photoshop - White Tee

Here i will explain how to halftoning an image so you can use it for screen printing on white tee. The realistic graphic requires halftoning if you want to put it on tee. The common colors of tee used are white, black, and darkblue.
In this part i'll explain how to halftoning the graphic, so it can be screen printed on white shirt.
You'll need a large enough image to print.

1.
Change the image mode into CMYK, click Image>Mode>CMYK.
Change the image resolution, click Image>Image Size. Change the resolution into 300 dpi.

2.
At the channels window click the small arrow at the corner to view the options. Choose Split Channels

3.
Each channel will be in their own window.

4.
Change the image mode into bitmap. Choose Image>Mode>Bitmap

5.
Set the output resolution to 300 or 600, and set the method to halftone screen.

6.
Set the frequency into 45 (recomended), 54, or 60 and set the angle. Do this to each channel.
The angles are: C:15 M:45 Y:75 K:75

Zoom in, and you'll see that the dots make an elliptical shape, and turn the solid graphic into halftone.

This is the simulation of the work. Remember that the dot size that appear on the screen is not the actual size. No need to worry about the onscreen looks.
To do the simulation, change the image mode into grayscale first, then convert it to CMYK, change the black color with it's channel color (eg: change the black color on M window into magenta), remove the white color. Stack all the channel into one layer. Change the blending mode into multiply.

Nurse Angel

This is the finished artwork. It came from my sketch before. It's a nurse, hugging her own body, and the angel wing raise from her back. I think this is not my best, but... yeah... fine work i guess.
i didn't add guts or slime in this work, i just want it as clean as posible. I don't want this gorgeous thing become scary and creepy although the design printed on black tee.
The student of St. Elisabeth Nurse Academy say yes to this artwork, and they want use it for Capping Day (i don't know what that means), yup... this is it, a Nurse Angel made by Azazell.

Brain Monster

Whoa!! This is it!!
Remember the Brain Monster Concept??
this is the final artwork, and it's ready to launch. I put some shadding on the brains, the monster, the slime and the nails. It's only 5 in colors or less (on black or white it's 4 in colors). It looks nice on white, dark gray, and black tees.

You can order it right now with only IDR 55.000,oo (about US$5) for tees

IDR 5000,oo (about a half bucks) for 4.4mm dia pin/button. The pin is laminated with doff lamination.

Please contact Husky Clothing Co. for ordering.

Aeroflyer 1st Tee, Cessna in CMYK

This comes without a concept. A student of Aeroflyer Flight School ask me to design a tee with a figure of cessna 147 on it. I ask him back "graphic or realistic design??" he answer me without doubt "Graphic!".
I can't imagine what cessna 147 looks like. The drawing should be precise and match the original cessna. I search the internet for cessna manual handbook and i got nothing, so i search image database. Finally i found it. All i have to do is tracing the outline manually, create several ornament to embelish it, compose the size and the ornament so it won't look plain and too technical.
That's all, FINISH!!!! I ask them and they say "Yes, the tee looks great on black or dark brown, produce it! We'll pay for the t-shirts and your design"

Nurse Angel

This is a concept of nurse angel. This design is for St. Elisabeth Nurse Academy.
I didn't have any idea about what i should draw for them. But, a "would be nurse girl" said, "nurse have an angel heart, and nursing is totally work of heart".
ZAP!!! a lightning zap my head, and then my pencil dancing on a sheet of paper. Done!!!!
This is the concept, and they agreed. An angel in nurse uniform. They want black tee, so i think the color should be white, pink, and red. Maybe....

I should finish this soon.
